Mount Moriah Cemetery, located in Southwest Philadelphia, is one of the largest cemeteries in Pennsylvania, extending from Southwest Philadelphia to Yeadon, Delaware County. It is the final resting place of many people from all walks of life, as well as a certified arboretum with enormous junipers, yews, and a 140-year-old hemlock tree. In 2011, it was abruptly abandoned by its owners, but thanks to the dedication and hard work of many volunteers, about 70% of the grounds has now been reclaimed.
